Naini Lake Boating

Glide across the emerald, crescent-shaped lake that gives Nainital its name in a colourful paddle or rowing boat — the Mall Road and forested hills reflected on the still water make this the town's signature experience.

Naina Devi Temple

A sacred Shakti Peetha temple on the northern shore of Naini Lake, said to mark the spot where the eyes (nain) of the goddess Sati fell — a steady stream of pilgrims and a peaceful lakeside setting.

Mall Road Evening Walk

The pedestrian promenade connecting Naini Lake's two ends comes alive every evening with strolling families, snack stalls selling bhutta and momos, and shops selling Nainital's famous candles and woollens.

Snow View Point Cable Car

A short, scenic cable car ride climbs above the town to a viewpoint with — on clear days — panoramic views of the snow-capped Nanda Devi and Trishul peaks of the Kumaon Himalayas.

Tiffin Top (Dorothy's Seat) Trek

An easy 5km round-trip hike through pine and oak forest to a small stone shelter with sweeping views over Nainital town, the lake, and the surrounding Kumaon ranges — a favourite picnic spot.

Land's End Viewpoint

A steep but rewarding walk or pony ride to the edge of a cliff offering dramatic views down into the valley below and across to the distant plains on a clear day.
