Eravikulam National Park

Home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr — mountain goats who are so unafraid of humans they walk alongside you. The park also has excellent bird watching and the Rajamala viewpoint.

Top Station Sunrise

The highest point in Munnar at 1,880m — on clear mornings the Tamil Nadu plains are visible 40km away. The short trek through shola forest at dawn is extraordinary.

Mattupetty Dam & Echo Point

The scenic 1,700m-altitude reservoir with pedal boating and views of tea-covered hills — drive on 3km to Echo Point, where the surrounding valley walls throw your voice back at you with eerie clarity. A favourite of Kerala families and a genuinely fun natural phenomenon.

Attukal Waterfalls

A spectacular cascade tumbling through dense shola forest just 9km from Munnar town — the short forest walk to reach it passes through spice plantations smelling of cardamom and pepper. After the dry season build-up, the monsoon-fed falls are genuinely powerful.
