Saudi Arabia has launched a "Package Visa" that bundles tourist visa approval with flight and hotel bookings into a single transaction — and India is one of the first countries in the pilot. It's not visa-free travel, but it does fold three separate applications into one.
What happened
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Tourism introduced the Package Visa as a next-generation digital visa product, connecting instant electronic tourist visa approval to a confirmed travel package rather than a standalone application, per The Week and Travel and Tour World. Pricing starts from 4,000 Saudi riyals (roughly ₹1,00,920) for a minimum two-day stay, with up to 14 travellers allowed per package. Each package must include confirmed accommodation and flights from Ministry of Tourism-approved providers, plus tourist activities, cultural experiences and entertainment events.
India is named among the pilot markets alongside Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Mexico, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al Khateeb was quoted saying the initiative is about "integrating visa issuance with travel bookings," simplifying the visitor journey.

Saudi Arabia has been steadily lowering friction for Indian travellers this year — a one-stop e-visa pilot in June, and now this bundled package — as part of its Vision 2030 push to become a mainstream leisure destination, not just a religious-pilgrimage one.
