The suspensions took effect July 1, 2026 for most routes and July 3 for Siem Reap, and run through September 30, according to TTR Weekly. IndiGo said bookings for all the affected routes will reopen from October 1, "subject to the geopolitical situation in the Middle East becoming favourable" — tying the pause explicitly to the ongoing West Asia conflict's effect on fuel costs and operating expenses, on top of the usual lean July-September travel quarter. The airline described the cuts as "measured changes designed to align capacity with current market conditions and demand trends," and said it would consider reinstating routes earlier with adequate notice if conditions improve. Despite the cuts, IndiGo says it still operates more than 1,800 weekly international flights.
